But it didn’t sound quite right, so AWE went ground up on the EJ25 Touring Edition, to make something truly radical, and unique to the properties of this BOXER®. It’s a direct bolt-on, full 3” straight-through design – the Touring Edition allows the VA STI / GV WRX / GV STI Sedan to deliver its famous rumble without rasp or in-cabin drone, while introducing intoxicating crackles when shifting, thanks to AWE’s proprietary drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology®. This configuration compliments the EJ25 in every way. Seriously. And don’t forget about Conversion Kits: AWE made it easy to convert from a Track Edition to a Touring Edition, or vice versa if you decide later to turn it up, or turn it down.

    For those looking to crank it to 11 with no intention of turning it down, the AWE Track Edition is your dose of steel. The Track Edition retains all of the precision engineering from the Touring Edition, and the bullet-style resonator in the mid-pipe, minus AWE’s drone-canceling 180 Technology® resonators in the rear. The result? Rumble with minimal filter, both in and out of the cabin, at all speeds. This version is known to get rowdy and may be too much for many–prepare yourself – and it can’t be returned for sound preferences, you’ve been warned! (But AWE made it easy to turn it down if you need to with their Track-to-Touring conversion kit – a simple bolt-on so you don’t have to buy a whole other kit if the Track Edition turns out to be a bit much. Nice!). Out back, the tips boast a 4” diameter, a stamped AWE logo, and double-walling to ensure a mirror finish even under hard usage. AWE tips are available in Vapor Blue or chrome silver finish and are individually adjustable to allow depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste. The Track Edition retains all of the precision engineering from the Touring Edition, minus the tailored mufflers in the rear sections. The result? Unfiltered BOXER® rumble both in and out of the cabin with enhanced crackles when shifting. This version is known to get rowdy, and may be too much for many. For that reason, this particular version cannot be returned due to sound preference. But fear not – if after running the Track Edition you’re feeling it’s a bit too much, AWE makes it easy to swap over to a Touring Edition with the Conversion Kit. Just bolt it on and tone it down a bit – easy! When it comes to tips, the Track Edition finishes off with 102mm slash-cut tips, featuring the AWE logo, so they know what team you’re on. All tips are individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste. They’re also double walled to ensure a mirror finish – even under hard usage.
